Penelope Cruz Is Obviously Appalled When Savannah Guthrie Asks About Her 'Ugly Feet'
A "foot in mouth" moment, if you will.
X
File this under "awkward celebrity interviews."
Things got all kinds of uncomfortable when "Today" co-anchor Savannah Guthrie decided to ask "Zoolander 2" actress Penelope Cruz a pretty footsie gutsy question about her "ugly feet." The segment aired on Wednesday.
In an attempt to "couch" the obviously terrible question, Guthrie tried to soften the blow by pointing out just how gorgeous Cruz was before going in for the kill.
Watch it all go down at the 4:15 mark in the video below:

"I don't even know how I
feel about this, I think you said it, that you, despite what you look
like, that you -- you've said you have ugly feet," Guthrie stammered.
Cruz, obviously appalled, immediately shut the rumor down.
"No, no, no, I haven't said that," Cruz said, throwing Guthrie killer side-eye. "I'm OK with my feet."
The 41-year-old actress went
on to explain that she was a ballet dancer and has talked about the
damage and stress that her feet went through.Cruz, obviously appalled, immediately shut the rumor down.
"No, no, no, I haven't said that," Cruz said, throwing Guthrie killer side-eye. "I'm OK with my feet."
"Yeah, because, you know, when you’re a ballet dancer, you lose your toenails," Cruz told Guthrie. "You get used to, you know, throwing them away you don't even feel it anymore. That's what I meant."
As for her personal feelings toward her feet (we can't believe we have to type that), Cruz said "they're normal."
Let this be an example of exactly why we need to #AskHerMore, right reporters?
